Director's commentary:
Acting is the sort of bane upon the Arts that has transmogrified Films from things that once merely distracted me from my reading to things that nowadays fill me with mild rage. This fascination with so-called skills like acting -- and cinematography, lighting, etc. -- must be crushed by a knowing hand, of course ... and when I fired Raphael you should have seen his expression. Mingled look of pain and surprise, poignant yet stoic. Sickening, and I refired him, then counterfired him and so on and it went on all day. That's why we went over budget.
